The Washington traffic safety community is transitioning from the current electronic ticketing software to the TraCS application. Maintained by the Washington State Patrol’s (WSP) Information Technology Division, the application is used for the statewide collection of traffic records data, i.e., Notice of Infractions, Notice of Criminal Citations, Police Traffic Collision Reports, Tow/Impound Forms, DUI Arrest Reports, etc., called SECTOR (Statewide Electronic Collision and Online Records).

- PROGRAM SUPPORTED BY: Washington State Patrol and the electronic Traffic Information Processing Committee (eTRIP).
- TRACS SOFTWARE DEPLOYMENT: TraCS has not been deployed at this time; however, the software will be made available to all law enforcement agencies and prosecuting attorney's offices across the state of Washington.
- FUTURE DEPLOYMENT PLANS: TraCS will be fully deployed to the Washington State Patrol by the end of 2025, and to all other local, county, state, and tribal law enforcement agencies, and prosecuting attorney’s offices, beginning in January 2026.

TraCS Use
Forms being used by Washington State include:
- Police Traffic Collision Report (PTCR), including the Exchange of Information (EOI)
- Notice of Infraction (NOI), including parking violations
- Notice of Criminal Citation (NOCC)
- Tow/Impound Form
- DUI Arrest Report
- Marine Vessel Inspections and Warnings
- Warnings/Correction Notices
ADDITIONAL FORM DEVELOPMENT PLANS: No immediate plans for future forms.
MACH Use
Washington state has no plans to implement MACH.
