SOFTWARE

TraCS (Traffic and Criminal Software) is a sophisticated data collection and reporting tool for the public safety community. TraCS provides organizations with a state-of-the-art information management tool to streamline and automate the capture and transfer of incident data in the field.  Using the latest mobile computing technologies to capture and report incident data where it occurs, TraCS improves the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of incident data and reduces user’s administrative duties and paperwork.

TraCS Web is a fully browser based version of TraCS and has the same look and feel as TraCS.  No preloaded client software is needed on the computer running TraCS Web except for Microsoft Windows XP SP3 or above, Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 or above, and the latest version of the Microsoft .NET Framework.  TraCS Web functionality is similar to TraCS and includes on-demand downloadable applets to interface with peripherals connected to the computer such as barcode imagers and signature tablets.

MACH (Mobile Architecture for Communications Handling) is a second generation 3CS (Collaborative Command & Control Software) application. MACH utilizes an innovative internet communications architecture that allows public safety agencies to  share  information  for facilitating cooperation and organization during every day activities and  emergency situations.

MACH uses the internet and a sophisticated, scalable and secure web services messaging foundation to offer job enhancing features that  have   until now been unpractical to provide to the public safety personnel in the field. With MACH, POLICE, EMS, FIRE, and DOT agencies can all communicate with each other and share information vital to handling an incident. From car to car instant messaging and alert notifications to real time mapping of incidents and responders, MACH provides the missing piece needed for inter-agency and cross-agency coordination.

The ILT (Incident Location Tool) is a map based utility that can be used to locate where an incident occurred.  It was designed by the Iowa State University Institute for Transportation to be used as either an add-on interface to TraCS for placing GIS location information to TraCS forms or as a stand-alone application.

IMAT (Incident Mapping Tool) is a map based utility that can be used to give a visual representation of located TraCS data on a map.  IMAT gives decision makers the reporting tools necessary to make sense out of the enormous amount of data collected by TraCS in order to make educated decisions.
